#SaveSoil

The soil beneath our feet is our main source of food, our main source of water, where our homes reside---the basis of our existence. As 52% of the world's agricultural soil is already degraded (UNFAO), it is crucial we make everyone aware of this devastating soil crisis so that change can occur for our future generations.

Save Soil is an awareness-based global movement that aims to address the soil crisis by bringing people together from around the world to stand up for soil health and to drive policies in all nations towards revitalizing soil health by increasing the organic content in soil.

Save Soil at COP28

Save Soil was featured at the COP28 (UN Climate Change Conference), from November 30th to December 12th, 2023. Degraded soils can release up to 850 billion tons of carbon dioxide whereas healthy soils is one of the largest carbon sinks on the planet! View some of the COP28 events, including Soil, the Climate Superstar featured on World Soil Day, December 5th.
